Assistance in Living Support

Harrogate approaches Assisted Living much differently than many other senior living communities.  While other communities separate the Assisted Living and Independent Living neighborhoods, Harrogate has reversed that idea and has established our own program called Assistance in Living Support.  Residents who need assistance remain in their apartment home, and local home health care providers stop into the apartment to provide support.  That means married couples who each have different care needs can continue to live together.  The health care provider address the different care needs of the couple by providing whatever support they each require.  It’s as easy as that!

Assistance in Living Provided by Local Care Partners

Assistance from local home health care providers can include medication management, help with meals, or personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing, etc.), and is provided in the comfort and privacy of the apartment home.  Families have the peace of mind knowing supportive care is fully integrated into their loved one’s usual routine.

Payment for Assistance in Living

Typically, in-home care is private pay, and is provided on a fee-for-service basis.  Most in-home care — often referred to as companion care — is available in increments of 15 minutes, all the way to 24-hour care, so you only pay for the amount of care that you need.
