Long-Term Skilled Nursing is for residents who’s advancing health care needs require round the clock medical oversight. This neighborhood within the Harrogate community still has activities and fine dining, but they also have a care team in place 24/7. Our care specialists can handle everything from comprehensive wound care to individualized programs for cardiac and pulmonary conditions. Our Skilled Nursing care team is also specially trained to address memory care issues, so all aspects of the resident’s wellbeing are supported.

Harrogate is proud to train our staff members in the Heartfelt Connections Memory Care program. This nationally recognized program offers specialized care and support to individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. The program focuses on the resident and their abilities by using customized reminiscence tools to capture details about their life story, which are then used to design individualized programming for each resident. These customized activities promote physical and emotional well-being, prolong daily functioning, and help residents maintain a sense of purpose, dignity, and quality of life.

Our Health Center has a 5-Star Rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. We are the ONLY Skilled Nursing neighborhood in Ocean County with 5 Stars across the board in health inspections, staffing, and quality measures. There are only eight communities in all of New Jersey that have achieved this 5-Star Rating in all three areas.

Meet Our Medical Director
Dr. Jay Vida, DO, FACP
Dr. Vida has been Harrogate’s Medical Director for 29 years, overseeing medical care and state guidelines for the community. He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Geriatrics.
