What is included in the cost?
The cost of Independent Living at Harrogate depends on your apartment size. Our monthly service fee includes maintenance, repairs, yard care, snow removal, and trash pickup. The monthly fee also covers life-enrichment activities and wellness programs, meal plan options, transportation, and housekeeping.
What does Independent Living with Life Care mean?
No matter how your health needs change in the future, Harrogate is your home for life. That’s guaranteed by your entrance fee. We offer the full continuum of care right here on campus. If you do need home health care Assistance in Living or Skilled Nursing, you don’t have to leave Harrogate to get care. You have priority access to that care at manageable, predictable, lower-than-market monthly rates. Again, all is guaranteed by your entrance fee.
Do I have to worry about any maintenance on my apartment?
No! Our maintenance staff takes care of everything inside and out. And we mean EVERYTHING! We even change your lightbulbs.
Do you offer home health care?
Yes, for residents who need some assistance with activities of daily living, we offer comprehensive home health care services.
Do you accept pets?
Of course! All pets are welcome at Harrogate. We have an on-site dog park and a 52-acre campus with walking trails that are perfect for your four-legged friends.
Can I bring my car?
Certainly. For your added convenience, we offer transportation to shopping, doctor appointments, churches/synagogues, and other destinations around Ocean and Monmouth counties.
Are meals included?
Yes! Our Preferred Dining Choice Plan delivers an exceptional dining experience by offering residents the freedom to purchase dining and retail options that best suit their individual lifestyles. It provides the most flexibility and value. Your monthly service fee provides for a monthly balance of dining points that can be spent in any of our three dining venues.
What do I look for when considering a retirement community?
In general, try to balance practical considerations with quality measures.
